Why Does the Top Surface of The Piston Ring Crack?

 1. The engine is overloaded, resulting in excessive piston deformation, resulting in fatigue cracking on the top surface of the piston ring.

 2. When the combustion system does not work properly or the engine load is too large, the temperature gradient of the top surface of the piston increases, resulting in thermal cracking of the top surface of the piston.

3. The material is unqualified, resulting in a decrease in high temperature strength.

4. If the fuel contains elements such as sulfur and vanadium, it will cause high temperature corrosion, thereby accelerating the development of cracks.
